Hannah Community Development Project is a faith based community development organization that makes effort to address the plight of vulnerable persons in Eldoret’s Kamukunji informal settlement.
Kamukunji, Eldoret
Eldoret is a principal town in the Rift Valley region of Kenya. It is the capital of Uasin Gishu County (one of the 47counties of Kenya). Rural to urban migration has created 4 main informal settlements in the town.
These are:
Munyaka,
Kamukunji,
Huruma and
Langas.
These informal settlements are characterized by Insecurity, low-income, poor drainage and sanitation which is a major health hazard. Moreover,
substance abuse is rampant.
The Hannah Community Development Project was formed in September 2019 and officially registered as a CBO on December 4th, 2019.
We are non-politicized, affiliated to no political group, and a non-profitable organization.
